There is no expiration on eclipse filters that are ISO 12312-2, as are all Celestron solar filters, but please inspect them for scratches, punctures, or tears if they have been stored for long periods.

Besides, our ozone layers may be busted faster letting in new rays in—then glasses /materials may have to be changed to provide the protection we need.
