• A:Answer When the objective turret is rotated and another magnification used, the microscope must be refocused. The image from each objective focuses at a different point.

• A:Answer To see the outline of the nucleus of an animal or plant cell as distinct from the rest of the cell, a microscope with moderate resolution quality will be able to achieve this at 400x magnification. However to see the details of cell structure requires a much stronger level of magnification – 1000x – and the ability to view the specimen using the oil immersion technique. For this I recommend the Celestron Labs CM2000CF Compound Microscope, 44130 https://www.celestron.com/products/celestron-labs-cm2000cf.
