  • QuestionWhat is the range of this scope? Can I capture and share what I see using it with my cell or tablet?

    Asked by Buddy20.

    • Answer From the city, the NexStar 127SLT will reveal Jupiter's four brightest moons, Saturn's rings, surface markings on Mars, and the Moon's craters. You can use your smartphone to take simple snapshots of planetary objects. Fainter targets such as nebulae and galaxies are best seen from a dark sky site far away from light pollution. If your smartphone is capable of shooting long exposures, you should be able to take images of these fainter targets. Using a smartphone adapter to hold and position the smartphone's lens up to the eyepiece is highly recommended.
