The NexStar 4SE's highest useful magnification under ideal seeing conditions is 241x. The rule of thumb is you multiply the aperture 4.02" x 60 = 241x. The supplied 25mm eyepiece will provide 53x (1325mm focal focal length divided by 25mm eyepiece focal length).
