Hello Mike, Thank you for your question! Ceretone devices are indeed hearing aids, not just “hearable” speakers. They are exempt medical devices registered with the FDA. While the devices do not allow adjustment of individual frequencies, you can adjust the overall volume and switch between different programs to suit your hearing needs.
