Does work on GATES OPENER null

I am successfully using it on a slide opening gate, without the sensor in place. However, my gate is controlled by a garage door opener, not a gate opener. You can use this device to control myq compatible openers without having to use the included sensor.

Most likely not if it is a side to side gate. There is a piece that you stick on a garage door that has an vertical/horizonal indicator (as the device goes horizonal when the door is "up"). Since a gate doesn't do this, I don't think it will toggle. Now if you don't care about knowing if the gate is open or closed but simply want to open/close it, then yeah, it just sends remote signals to operate the controller.
