My mother can't get out of bed so she can't let visiting nurses in the front door. This is great for her to use on her tablet. The people call and she opens the garage for them. It doesn't take away an opener from our cars.

Otherwise if you can run a pair of wires from her garage to her house, you could just hook up a doorbell button for her to press to open the garage door remotely. Or why don't you just buy another clicker for her existing garage door opener? That would be the simplest solution.
