Only if they are less than 1 inch thick. It has a simple hinge in back, so the top would not accommodate anything thicker - it would cook closest to the hinge fine, but the food would not have the advantage of the top heating element on the outer-most side. The heat does not get high enough to char the food, but it does a good job of heating from both top and bottom
