“In one place it says the barrel of the brush is oval, and in another it says it is round. Is the barrel oval or round, and what is the diameter of the barrel, not counting the bristles? Thank you”

It's oval and around 1,5" x around 2" not counting the bristles. This one gives that feeling of a salon blowout. If you need more control over your curls, switch to a smaller brush barrel to finish.
