I can't say for certain whether it would catch your hair but I will let you know that the rollers are made out of extra hard plastic with absolutely no give to them.

Your hair would be fine, but the roller is too intense for the neck area and shouldn't be used there. Try a manual neck roller.

My wife used it laying down and she has long hair. She never had a problem. The rollers cant catch on to the hair.

No, it doesn't catch short hair because the surface is smooth. I use it on my back and neck, but it's much more comfortable in a standing position. You need to find a position so that there is no impact on the vertebrae.

My hair is between chin and shoulders, I use it daily on my neck, it doesn't get caught in rollers at all.

That is a great question! The RPM was entirely designed for the neck and could potentially hurt since your spine might get in the way. With that being said, although the spacing between the spinning parts is extremely close and hard to get stuff in. I would recommend you check out our 4" XR Wheel or 4" Wheel instead!
