• Hi there, Dan. You will need the voice remote of your Chromecast with Google TV (HD) to complete the initial setup. The remote helps you navigate through the interface of the device. However, you can still use your smartphone to cast your favorite cast enabled apps to your device. Just like the previous versions, you'll need to make sure that the Chromecast and your smartphone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
