Hi, Jack! The short answer is yes but I don't believe you will be able to plug the QLink directly into your TV. My understanding of SPDIF (I'm not a Sony/Philips expert) is that it's a digital audio output. The QLink requires either the analog red & white RCA audio output or 3.5mm stereo output jack, so I believe you would need a digital-to-analog converter to connect the QLink to your SPDIF cable. If your TV (or cable box, etc.) also happens to have an analog RCA audio output jack, you would be able to plug the QLink directly into that jack, so that may be a good alternative for you.
