Hello Casey, We recommend plugging the Bluetooth Transmitter directly into your TV so that all audio connections (cable box, DVD player, etc.) that are delivered through your TV will be broadcast by the Transmitter. The cables necessary to connect to your audio out jacks come included with the Transmitter. Lastly, yes, you can leave it plugged into the power source 24/7. Purchased in Oct 2014, now doesn't pair at all, to either bluetooth wireless speakers that we have. Am frustrated. Maybe wait to purchase and see if ClearSounds/BestBuy have come up with a fix, or a solution to this problem.
