A:Answer Your post shows up for customers to answer. I dont work for anyone--Click and Grow or Best Buy. I bought this, am growing my first crop. It has been over 20 days of growth. Plants are healthy, no bugs, no water smell, I see no fungus, I'm happy. I'm going to buy another. There is no motor in the water. I live in a hot, dry part of the country, so water evaporates quickly. I've topped off the water twice. I read that you can purchase the planting pods and store them, but I cant remember what the shelf life is. Makes sense. Think of the global seed banks. I personally wouldn't need to entertain using another company's equipment with the Click and Grow. I have no idea if it would work, but I have my doubts.
