Freezing cold no problem until down around -20°F. That is my experience when most batteries show problems. NiCd, NiMH, Lead Acid, Sealed Lead Acid, alkaline, carbon zinc etc all suffer from reduced output capacity. Lithium does to, but to a lesser degree. Don't store in heat. Battery may vent at extreme, deactivate at minimum. Look in manual for max temp. I keep mine in a small cooler under the seat. Keeps from heating up when not in use during day. During winter operations, cooler helps keep warm particularly if is plugged in. Approx 60° inside cooler, booster is charge maintained, and overnight low is sub-zero between omg and etc. Booster chills quickly in open air, capacity problems creep in.

Just understand that the cold and/or the heat will shorten the length of time the unit holds a charge. To make sure mine are always ready to go, I plug them in (in the house) and recharge them every (3) months. This was suggested by the manufacturer when I spoke with them. The indicator (before charging) shows they are just shy of being fully charged. I also recharge them any time we use them to jump a car, even though you don't need to (can charge several cars before recharging). I just like to keep them topped off all the time. So, leave it in the car with no worries ... if you're out & about and your battery dies, you WANT the unit to be in your car.
