Batteries had to be charged initially for 16 hours. The down side is the charger only comes with two connectors so you have to have another charger to charge all three at the same time. We did but noticed the supplemental charger we used do not give as good a charge and thus was the first radio to go dead.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My batteries came charged, but I'd top them off before depending on the radios, One MICRO-USB charging cable is included. It plugs into the side of the radio and the other is the stardard(USB-A?) plug that goes into your computer or the typical wall/car charger. Round up your old chargers and cables and charge all the radios at once.
