Ist this suitable for a convertible? null

Front camera is mounted on windshield. No problem there. But rear camera is mounted on inside of rear window. May be a problem for a convertible.

Absolutely, the suction cup mount is affixed to your windshield. It is very sturdy.

It attaches to the dashboard. However, running the wires will be more visible if they can't be tucked into the header.

I don' see why not, as it will be mounted on the windshield.
