• The trials of Mana in this collection is rendered in the original 2d style, while the standalone Trials of Mana release is a fully redone 3d world with changes to stats and attack moves in battle. The former is multi-player, while the latter (unfortunately) is single player only.

• This collection version is the Japanese version that came out back in SNES era that never released in the USA. The new version is a remake of that game.

• The difference between the Trials of Mana on the Collection and the remake selling for $29.99-up is basically the graphics, voice-overs and gameplay. The one in the collection is the 16-bit version that was only released for the Japanese Super Nintendo.
