Yes, depending on how sensitive you set the shock sensor. Mine was set too sensitive and while I was out shoveling snow around my van, I hit my head on the mirror and it set the alarm off.

Please try again later.My Best Buy install guy left it quite sensitive, which at first was irritating, but now I super like it as we have nightly door handle checkers and if they just test my handle to see if it's unlocked, it will go off.....we have a carport in our apartment building, so anyone off the street can come and mess with our cars. My window on my Nissan was popped twice last year, both times at 5:30pm - 7:00pm while I was home, and NO alarm. AFTER putting in this Compustar system, no window breakage AND I have heard the alarm go off in the middle of the night which tells me they tried my door handle and took off.....(see photo .... my alarm sticker may also be the deterrent)
