Yes the engine will shut off when you push the brake pedal if the key is not in the run position.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You need a key or fob to run the vehicle. Without them the vehicle will stay on for awhile but turns off if you don't enter the vehicle. If someone get in and tries to steal it without the key or fob it turns off the vehicle. The vehicle also stays locked until you unlock it.
