I was informed your Mazda OEM remote can be programmed, by hitting the lock Botton 3 times, in addition to programming the included remotes in the kit. Peace and blessings, Azeke

I asked the best buy technician, and he told me that the key fob from the auto starter mimics the regular key, however, the regular key fob is required and should be in your possession at all times
