You do not need another key, but you will get 2 remotes, so another key would be useful. No other parts are needed. Kit came with everything.

Please try again later.I recently got this device installed and it came with 2 remote keys which allow you to remotely start the engine, as well as locking and unlocking the doors. The remote engine start is a feature that is just to pre-warm up the car before you leave your place so is nice and warmed up for you. The moment you try to do anything like hit the break, back up or drive the car, it will turn off for security reasons. You do need to physically insert the original vehicle key in order to turn on/ start up the engine. This item is working great for me, my lock and unlock stopped working on my physical key so this is a work around.
