I recently had the compustar 4905S-KIT installed on my two cars, I asked the bestbuy technician the same question. His answered was that the work was done by bestbuy Mobile Electronics Certified Professionals (MECP) and there is the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act protects you from being denied warranty work on your vehicle.
