Yes, you still need to be able to unlock the steering wheel to drive. Once the car has been remote started, when you enter the car you will insert the key like normal and turn it to the run position. Do not turn the key all the way to start or else you could damage the starter motor. Do not touch the brake pedal before inserting the key or else the car will automatically turn off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would have to say yes. My vehicle (2018 Nissan Titan) is a push to start and I still need that. I would consider mine as a master key. The remote gets 'er running and warmed up. When I get ready to go just push the start button. I would assume you would still need to insert key and just turn to the first position. Hope this helps.
