A:Answer I just had one installed in my 1999 Taurus yesterday.
This is my 2nd system.
The Taurus came with the 4 function remote. Lock, Unlock, Trunk & Panic.
With the G15, it flashes once for lock, twice for unlock, & twice for trunk.
On the 2 way remote, you do get a confirmation on all functions.
It beeps if the command sent was successful.
FYI, On older vehicles, the tech may need to find another Tach source.
The Tach signal may not be enough for the system to recognize.
On mine, it added an hour to the install even though they made the 4 hour install window!
