They refunded this at the time of the remote installation. They said my son's 2017 truck already had an alarm system in place. I guess it just matters on the vehicle itself.

They refunded the money back to him and said his 2017 truck did not need the alarm kit. You could ask one of the installers at the store. If you try to call you get a call center out of the country. Its best to go inside the store now.
