QuestionInteresting shape for an antenna. How does it compare do a flat or rabbit ear antenna?

- Answer I previously had one of those flat ones that was powered. I had to put it in certain places and positions to get all channels. In particular, I couldn't hide it behind the TV. But even with the flat antenna in the open, the signal would still sometimes break up. The Core Innovations ball seems to get all the channels while sitting inconspicuously on the shelf behind a vase. It's much more unobtrusive. This is working better for us than any flat ones that we've tried.

QuestionIs this wireless? How does it connect to the TV? I see a power cord that needs to be plugged into a wall socket. Does anything else have to be plugged in?

- Answer It has a coax cable hardwired into it, which you would hook the other end into your tv tuner, and a power cord you plug into the unit and an electrical socket. It is not wireless.

- Answer The lights are an indication of signal strength at the antenna. They will be on as long as the antenna is plugged in.

- Answer We have massive trees in yard and everywhere around us..., apparently there is no interference from them as this unit pulls in far more channels than we had expected!

QuestionI want to use this antenna at a rural cabin about 75 miles from the transmitters. The cabin has an aluminum roof. Will this roof material effect the reception of this antenna?

- Answer Yes, if the roof is between the broadcast station and the antenna you want to hook up to your TV. Devices are often built into metal cases to prevent stray radio emissions from affecting them, same principle applies here. Even a thick wall may block a portion of the signal. Placing the antenna in front of a window may work, it depends upon the angle the signal is traveling, and the strength of the signal, but your best chance at that distance is an outdoor antenna.

QuestionHow do I hook this up when I have a satellite cable coming into the antenna port on my TV? Satellite does not offer CBS or other local channels so this may be an option if I can hook it up without having to install and remove cables on a regular basis.

Questioni have purchased two of these on 2 different tv’s on both it can’t find any channels and I get the same error message on both tv’s saying it can’t find the antenna. i have removed and reattached the coax cable to each tv twice with the same results.
