• No, this is a "purchase once" product. You are licensed to use it as long as you wish; that's the strength of the "purchase once" model. The downside, of course, is that you are not automatically upgraded to future versions (2022, 2023, 2024, presumably). The latter is the strength of the "subscription" model, typified by Microsoft 365.
