My ASUS ROG B550-E Gaming is connected to the front-panel USB-C jack, and I use USBTREEVIEW which shows my SanDisk Extreme SSD is connected with SuperSpeed+, which is 10 Gbps. So there's nothing with the case limiting it. Additionally the front panel cables and connectors are nicely routed and cable managed to the motherboard front edge area. Note the specs of your motherboard indicates; 1 x USB Type-C™ port with USB 3.2 Gen 1 support, available through the internal USB header USB 3.2 Gen1 is 5 Gbps. This might be a typo since the chipset should support gen 2 and my B550 does.
