It is an empty computer case. Inside the case you add all of the components separately. For example a motherboard, hard drive/SSD, a power supply and so on. The CPU and sock options you have depend upon which motherboad you select. Hundreds of different motherboards can fit into this case, and you have to purchase it separately. In additional to the items already mentioned you would need to purchase memory/RAM, potentially a graphics card if you intend on playing high-end games, and so on.

No power supply, no motherboard, nothing else. But it does give easy access. A nice case, I am using it right now. I put in a basic AMD FX6300 cpu/motherboard and a 450 watt power supply. A nice inexpensive case that looks great.

The socket depends on what processor you're looking to install. If you plan to install AMD's Ryzen CPUs, they require a motherboard with an AM4 socket for example.
