“I've had my power supply since Sept. It's been great, but it has started humming out of nowhere (coil whine?) when playing games/high power programs. It started after installing 2 new PWM fans. Do I need to be worried? Or is it a possibile defect?”

Coil whine is typically covered under the manufacturer warranty, I wouldn’t worry that it’ll explode, but you can call Corsair and request an RMA and they’ll send you a new unit
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Coil wine is not an issue per say, it occurs on a lot of power supplies. It doesn't mean anything is wrong. To cut down on noise try insulation the pc better. But don't hinder air flow.
