Yes, this is intended for exactly your scenario. This bay will accept 2x 2.5 Drives. Sata cables will be in a typical direction to make it easier to swap.

This part is not officially hot swappable, but your motherboard determines if drives can be hot swapped, not the drive or drive caddy.

Whether there are SATA connectors and the bracket your using for 2.5 to 3.5 SATA SSD bracket or not depends on the computer, or you might have to buy them separately. As far as being "hot swappable"....you need screws that usually comes with bracket to keep it stable unless you have a special modified ( non "normal") HDD bay.
