• Depends on what adapter you're talking about. The stereo adapter that plugs into the bottom of your controller works fine. But if you're looking for surround sound then the USB component this headset uses to provide the surround sound then you will have to look for a headset that comes with Dolby atmos. That's the closest thing an xbox headset can get to surround sound. Xbox only supports surround sound on a speaker system outside of a headset anyway.

• If you mean the 7.1 surround sound adapter, no. It does not work on the Xbox. My H60 set plugs straight into my Elite controller. With some other Xbox controllers you may need to use the adapter that fits onto the controller, then the 'phones will plug into that...
