No. If it dies you have to replace the headphones. If you are a heavy user, get a three-year plan and when the batteries start to die, just turn in for a new one or replacement. The battery will most likely die in that three year period if you use the headphones a lot. For heavy usage, I'm using the headphones about three to ten hours a day every day of the week.

The battery is encased and rechargeable, no replacement is required.
