Yes, the COMMANDER CORE XT will work with your ASUS motherboard as long as it has a USB 2.0 header available. A SATA power connection from your PSU will also be required. This controller is designed for full functionality with our user-friendly iCUE software, which may be also control RGB lighting on various ASUS motherboards and GPUs. I don’t believe it’ll work with the ASUS software but you can download Corsair iCue software to configure your RGB and fan speed.

This will work with any motherboard that has an available internal USB header, and can only be controlled by iCue

It works with Armoury to create without issue. I thought I would have to install separate software (iCue) but it doesn't need it. Granted there are some features/configurations options you get from it that don't seem to be available from Armoury. Wouldn't hurt to try both and see which you prefer.
