“Do you have to use the commander core? I have 3 other branded fans I would prefer to use. I really just want to 360 radiator and the Corsair pump. Do I have to plug the pump into the commander core or can I plug it directly into my motherboard?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you need to use the commander unit that is included with the package. The H150i Elite plugs into the bottom of the Commander unit and then plug the unit to a USB header and SATA power plug. (Cannot plug the Corsair pump directly into the USB header) However you can use third party fans and not use the included fans that are included with the set.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The commander core is not essential but it helps a lot. I have my case fans installed onto the commander core as well as the AIO fans. Only down side is that case fans aren’t programmable while connected to commander
