Is this compatible with the AMD 5950X - AM4? null

Yes. You will have to remove the bracket that's preinstalled (which is very simple, just slide the two halves off) and slip on the ones for the AM4 socket. On my motherboard (MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge WiFi) I had to use the stock backplate, the included socket adaptor, four standoffs, and four screws. That's all you need.

Yes it is in fact that’s exactly the type of chip I have and it’s for the reason I bought it be careful though make sure that either you install it yourself or do you have another company do it because if you rely on geek squad at least in my experience they didn’t install it properly and then when I kept calling inquiring about bringing it back to fix it they fabricated a bunch of lies and now they blacklisted me from all the geek squad in the area so I keep getting cancellations on the day of installation so I’m stuck with a PC that I can’t use because they refuse to fix the problem so be very careful
