“With the Corsair Lighting Node CORE that this comes with will it allow you to control the fan speeds or just RGB and does it come with a special cable slitter or is it just compatible with the lighting node core”

The lighting node core only does the lighting for up to 6 fans. The fans themselves are 3pin DC fans that plug into standard motherboards or other fan hubs. The RGB is a separate cable off the fan, so no splitting needed.

The only thing that plugs into the lightning node core is the rgb cables, the fan power will still need to be plugged into the motherboard. I will say, the lightning node is helpful. You plug it into your powersupply as opposed to plugging it into the JRGB on your motherboard. A great product, just a little expensive.
