This particular keyboard would be a bad choice for him. It requires two USB ports to use and light up. It also works much better with a PC as it can use Corsair's iQue software for customization.

It's a much more affordable keyboard with similar features. Of course the keys aren't mechanical, but the almost two hundred dollar price tag is a lot for playing on a console. Consoles can't take advantage of what this keyboard is offering, which is why I would recommend the K55.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this should work, but this is far far too much keyboard for a use case like that. Something like a Hyper X Origin which can also be bought here at best buy would be a much cheaper alternative, and a better quality one imo
