I suspected my other psu was faulty as I would see some LEDs on motherboard but pc would not power on. As soon as I installed this unit in, my PC was back to life no issues. I selected this unit because of the gold rating. My old psu wasn't even rated so... Yes. I would say this is a very good choice for your system.
