Greetings Mike, The Keyboard that I bought was a Cherry MX Red. Meaning, that the cups (Or the hard plastic fitting piece, the part the key slides on top of) are red colored and provide more than just a color. They are NON silent keys and thus make a good deal of noise, but that is why Red's are most often times cheaper, but are more durable.
