You need to apply the AMD Expo or Intel XMP profiles upon boot up using the BIOS. The steps are generally as follows. 1: you mash either delete or F12 (or whatever key your motherboard manufacturer uses) on starting up your computer to get into the BIOS. 2: you go the section labeled XMP profiles or EXPO profiles, and you enable the toggle there. 3: You save and exit the BIOS, then restart your computer (it should restart automatically), and then you should have the faster speeds available.
