You will need to contact apple, they have a bunch of wonky stuff keeping people from using aftermarket stuff. They want you to use only apple designed / produced stuff. Two reasons really: easier for their team to design their products if everything is proprietary; and you are only giving them your money.

The memory for that version of desktop uses lpddr3 memory and this is ddr4. I don’t think it will fit physically as they moved the notch in the memory module slightly between ddr3 and 4.
