Generally, If you have an extra ram slot, any ram stick with work in your PC. But your computer is going to run your sticks based on the slowest speed of the two and you will be giving up on dual channel mode. It's usually best to have the same make and model, frequency and all, in your system. That said, once again, if you don't care about performance it'll work. Eventually you can just buy another of the same stick down the road to replace the one that came with your system.
