“We have these paired on an Nintendo switch . We can’t seem to get the microphone to work . We were told when purchasing , they work with the microphone on the switch . Please help us !”

Try to connect it using the USB connection, i dont think the microphone will work if its just connected via Bluetooth. You can connect the headphone to the main dock in the back there should be a USB connection, or u can use a USB addaptor for the USB-C (at the bottom of the screen where you charge the switch), and lastly a USB to a 3.5mm jack adaptor (plug in the 3.5mm on the top of the switch screen).
