Yes it will charge while in use and will alert once complete, I use mine about 12 hours a day and charge about every 3rd day so the battery is awesome

Yes but then it will become a wired headset instead of the wireless headset.

Yes you can plug it in and charge it while using it. Whenever i am using it on ps4 and the battery runs low i just plug it in and continue playing. Hope this helps.
