It's not 'do-it-yourself' (I don't think you mean 'do-yourself-in' or DYI) and uses R-32 refrigerant (noted in the text). I _think_ it is pre-charged, but the issue with DIY instalation is the potential for air to get into the system (like in the hoses between the units), which is why installation must be done by a qualified installer. Even a small amount of non-condensables (like air) in a refrigeration system can keep it from running properly (or at all). A qualified installer will have a vacuum pump that can make sure any air that has gotten into the system is removed.
