• I thought both! But my bottle holds this mildew smell so I am not sure if it work. Although all I use it for is to drink water.

• It’s made to purify the water once you have it in the bottle so it does both at same time.

• I’m pretty sure it just cleans. I only drink alkaline water so I can’t say it’s fact.
