“Is there an expiration date in terms of when I have to activate the card?”

According to the back of the card: "Once activated at the register, the PIN number associated with this card is valid for 1 year from date of purchase, after which time you will forfeit the entire value of this one-time-use card." So, the card expires 1 year after purchase.

It activates the day you buy it. You have to use it within 12 months or it will expire.

The refill card expires 12 months from the date it was purchased.

From what is stated on the back of the card. The pin expries 12months after the card is purchased.
