• My 95 year old mother has an older model of this stereo which had developed the same problem with the CD drawer and eventually stopped working at all. (I think in our case, the problem was initiated when she pushed the drawer in manually, instead of using the CLOSE button.) We purchased her the current model as a replacement. The new one still works, but unfortunately she's afraid to use it for fear that she will "break" it again.
